This article explains how billing works for advertisers on SpotsNow, including when you’re charged, how payments are handled, and what to expect throughout the campaign lifecycle.
SpotsNow uses approval-based billing to ensure advertisers only pay for approved and delivered placements.
When running a campaign as an advertiser:
You are not charged when requesting a spot
Payment is authorized after publisher approval
Charges are finalized after delivery, based on agreed terms
This approach protects advertisers from paying for unapproved, cancelled, or undelivered campaigns.
Here’s how billing typically progresses:
Spot Requested
No charge is made when you submit a request.
Approved by Publisher
Payment is authorized to reserve the placement.
Campaign Runs
The ad is recorded and delivered as scheduled.
Payment Finalized
Charges are completed after delivery, including any adjustments for under-delivery.
Advertisers are billed based on:
The agreed rate and impressions
Actual delivery (not estimates)
Any proration due to under-delivery
If delivery is lower than expected, billing is adjusted automatically.
You can view billing-related information from your dashboard, including:
